Interstellar

Some cool stuff happens in Interstellar, but I didn't find it to be that engaging.

A lot of people seem to be into Intestellar. And Christopher Nolan. I don't know how I feel about him. I liked Inception at least. The plot of Interstellar didn't seem interesting to me when I saw the trailer. I was super distracted when I watched the movie, and it wasn't engaging enough to pull me in. Some cool stuff happens, but overall it's still just your basic plot of "the world is dying, this guy is humanity's last hope," which I'm apparently not into.

The Dark Knight Rises

Perfectly average movie. Bale and Hardy were good, and the story was interesting, but nothing really blew me away. At least I can say I saw Batman on opening day without getting shot.

Inception

The actors and the scenery were interesting to see, and I really enjoyed the slow reveal of what happened with Mal. It's a fun ride as long as you don't think too much about the loopholes.

The Dark Knight

The entire movie is basically an exhibition of Heath Ledger's awesome portrayal of the Joker, which makes it better than Batman Begins. I knew it was him the whole time, obviously, but I didn't recognize him under the make-up until about halfway through the movie. I loved everything they did with his character aesthetically; hair, make-up, clothing, all of it. Christian Bale does a good job too, but Bruce/Batman is a minor player compared to the Joker.
