Before the Devil Knows You're Dead

There can be no hope in a movie that opens with a naked, sweaty Philip Seymour Hoffman doing someone doggy-style. None at all. Also, they managed to make Ethan Hawke look terrible. Albert Finney turned out to be a good actor, though. (I've never really seen him in anything else.) I really enjoyed the strategy they used for flashbacks, both introducing them and editing them in. It kept things interesting, always revealing more of the story without ever making you feel like you were missing out on something. It really is more of a melodrama than a thriller, and the commentary was quite interesting. More enjoyable than the movie, certainly.

Blade: Trinity

I still don't like Wesley Snipes, and this struck me as rather immature. Dominic is good and Ryan is hot, but Blade II is still the only one worth watching.

The Orphanage

This was appropriately scary, but I didn't like the ending at all.

Speed Racer

This hurt my eyes, and I wish I knew more about the cartoon. The movie needed way more Asian people, but Benno was an awesome surprise. I think I would've liked it more if I were a 10 year-old boy, but it wasn't bad.

Harry Potter and the Goblet of Fire

The first few minutes didn't grab me, but the Tri-Wizard Championship proved to be interesting, and I'm curious to see the next one.

Armitage III: Poly-Matrix

Beautifully done.

Final Fantasy - The Spirits Within

The Forbidden Kingdom

The lead guy is cute, all the women are hot, and Jet Li and Jackie Chan are in the same movie. What more do you need?

Armitage: Dual Matrix

Nowhere near as good as the first one.

Juno

Not realistic in the least, but entertaining nonetheless.

Starting Out in the Evening

Lili Taylor's great and all, but this was boring.
