Friday the 13th

Why does this have the exact same title as the first one? Couldn't they add "part 11" or something? The opening sequence was pretty cool, and Jared Padalecki is still cute. I guess it was an okay movie, for what it is.

Planet Terror

It wasn't as bad as I was expecting. The gore was all cheesy, so it wasn't too disgusting. I just don't think I can appreciate this kind of movie. I always like Freddy though, and Rose was pretty. I liked the ending, too.

Con Air

A movie with Nic Cage, John Malkovich, Steve Buscemi, and John Cusack is guaranteed to be good. The explosions were a bit much, and the ending went on for way too long. Cage's accent annoyed me for the first and fourth quarters of the movie, but I actually liked it in the middle. I puked about 8 times after I watched this and now I feel absolutely terrible and have a fever of 100.3, but I don't blame the movie.

Underworld: The Rise of the Lycans

It's hard to say who had the lead role here; it was either Bill Nighy, Michael Sheen's chest, or Rhona Mitra's lips. Nighy is great to watch though..and so was Sheen's chest..and I liked seeing Mitra again, although I didn't recognize her from Doomsday. I wasn't expecting anything from this movie, and if I remembered Underworld at all I would probably say it didn't compare, but I liked it as a standalone. The action was exciting, the romance was convincing, and the plot was engaging despite the fact that I already knew how it was all going to turn out.

Sex and the City

It was nice to see it again, but it was even worse than the show. The plot was completely contrived and predictable. Everyone also looked insanely, un-attractively thin. Despite the fact that it was like half-strength fluff, I would probably watch another one if they made it.

Rollerball

I liked the international aspect, Chris Klein was not as cute as he should be, and Rebecca was completely unrecognizable. As a whole, it went by pretty fast, but the ending was less satisfying than it should've been because there was no reason for most of the characters to act the way they did.

Valley Girl

Wow, Nic Cage, in his first movie as Nic Cage. He was really convincing here. I wasn't terribly happy about how the plot played out; I wanted Julie to make a stand and pick Randy at some point. Other than that, it was enjoyable enough.
